Tauer No2 L'air du désert marocain

Christmas is just around the corner; my tree is up, I’m slowly writing my Christmas cards and generally I’m getting into festive mood. I’m a bit behind with my gift shopping, mainly because this year I really want to put some extra thought into them. I never buy just one gift for someone, I always get a main one and then other little things to complement it, stocking stuffers, a card and maybe some chocolate too. This “gift package” will definitely include perfume as you might have guessed and one of my top choices this year is this one!

Andy Tauer’s L’Air du Désert Marocain. One of the best perfumes bottled in the cutest little mini bottle.

L’Air du Désert Marocain includes notes of coriander, petitgrain, bitter orange, lemon, bergamot, jasmine, labdanum, geranium, cedarwood, vetiver, vanilla, patchouli and ambergris.

It's Andy's own favourite form his collection, inspired by memories of a night in Marrakesh; the sweet-smelling air of the Maghreb Desert.

The perfume itself is a rose / patchouli dynamite; spicy and sparkling at the same time, a combination of air and heat masterfully blended and bottled for our olfactory pleasure. I might be biased by it kind of reminds me of Christmas as the spiced orange vibe that surfaces after a while reminds me of the holidays. The dry aromatic base of cedar, vetiver and ambergris brings perfect closure and an aura that lingers on for hours. Far too many reviews have been written on this masterpiece and if you haven’t yet read any of them I will suggest you skip them and go try the fragrance yourselves.

It's made my gift list this year!
