OUAI is one of the cult haircare brands. Their products are luxurious but also extremely effective – hence the loyal following.
I have tried the shampoo and conditioner from the repair range in the past and was truly impressed but recently I was sent some more products to try.
The first one was Rose Hair & Body Oil, a multitasking, gorgeously scented oil that literally does everything! It can be used as smoothing hair oil, a hydrating moisturiser or to illuminate your skin and hair with the addition of an intoxicating fragrance as it restores moisture and repairs damage.
Its paraben, silicone-free, fast-absorbing formula, is enriched with shea and rosehip oils to lock in moisture and impart a radiant, all-over glow.
I have tried really hard not to use it all on my skin as it’s the perfect moisturiser with the addition of a fragrant blend of rose, bergamot, lychee and white musk that makes the perfect base for most of my autumn scents.
It does wonders on my hair; I apply it from mid-lengths to tips to seals in moisture and shine while protecting against heat damage when I dry and straighten my hair and the scent that gets released from the added heat is heavenly and my hair remain frizz free and beautifully scented.
Tip: Use just a little bit on the tips before you go to bed and your mane stays perfectly tamed.
The OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray is a product designed to boost your locks with an award-winning formula that holds, volumises and texturises hair in one simple mist.
Halfway between hairspray and dry shampoo, its ultra-lightweight formula, enriched with Volcanic Minerals, combines the benefits of both worlds. Spray the roots first to absorb excess oil and get the extra volume and then the lengths to get that enviable texture, long-lasting hold and protect from humidity – it refreshes, volumises and perfumes your strands with the delicate scents of Italian bergamot, rose, lily of the valley, waterlily, iris and white musk.
I don’t know a single person in London that doesn’t use dry shampoo on a daily basis. If you have long hair like I do and really can’t be bothered to wash them every day – or even every other day - dry shampoo comes to the rescue on a daily basis.
OUAI Dry Shampoo Foam is a game-changer in terms of texture. You apply it as you would a regular hair mousse and massage it into the roots until it dries – it takes a minute max-and it absorbs residual product, excess oil and other impurities leaving zero residue in its wake. A ping-pong size ball is enough to leave you with voluminous locks and a refreshed 'just washed' feel.
Its secret weapon is something called diatomaceous earth, which dissolves oil and grime without leaving any chalkiness and contains panthenol to hydrate your tresses.
