Under the Orange Tree by Marina Barcenilla Perfumes

A couple of weeks ago Marina kindly sent me samples of her perfumes to try.

Marina Barcenilla launched The Perfume Garden about 6 years ago and her vision was "to create the finest fragrances using what nature has to offer".

Her perfumes are all natural and during this short period of her journey she has won numerous awards including two FiFi Awards, one last year with India and one this year with Black Osmanthus.

I will be reviewing all of her perfumes as I literally can't get enough of them! All natural perfumes are difficult to get right and Marina had done a brilliant job putting the right ingredients at the just right amount together to give you a rich and intoxicating experience with every spray.

Under the Orange Tree literally describes what the perfume is all about; I have spent many a lovely early afternoons in summer, when it's still too hot to do anything, reading a book under the shade of the orange tree we have in our garden in Greece and smelling the sweet aromas from the bark, the leaves and the fruit. When it blooms in spring the scent travels, sweet, uplifting and joyous and Marina's perfume masterfully combines this feeling !

The Notes: Labdanum, benzoin, frankincense, neroli, petitgrain, orange blossom (absolute and organic extract), jasmine, lime blossom and green bitter orange. Within the fragrance are multiple neroli and petitgrain oils.

It's a sweet, in a fruity way, powdery and intoxicating scent that brings out all the facets of the orange tree and it lasts very long on my skin enveloping me with a protective shield against the heatwave! I'm looking forward to wearing it in colder weather as well as I believe Marina's perfumes are great all year round!
