Our perfume of the week is enclosed in a bottle that could very easily be crafted by fairies. Tenera by Rouge Bunny Rouge is part of their Fragrant Confections Collection, an oriental/ vanilla / woody perfume perfect for the chilly autumn weather.
Rouge Bunny Rouge is a London-born and Moscow-London based brand that is quickly moving from a quirky cult secret to a global beauty brand with international acclaim.
Their makeup line became a must have for all makeup addicts upon launch and their perfumes have their own cult following; I count myself as one of them. Following a lip-gloss purchase a couple of years ago I discovered the perfumes and quickly became enchanted by their inspiration and quality.
Tenera was created by the founder and creative director of the brand Alexandra de Montfort and Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich and aims to evoke the feeling of happiness in all its aspects: innocent and bodily, poetic and seductive, mysterious and comforting, untouched and juicy, intellectual and passionate. Top notes are cold, tart notes of black pepper, mixed with elemi, thyme and rosewood. The heart features a seductive blend of rum, guaiac wood, patchouli and heliotrope, resting on a base of vanilla, benzoin, amber and leather.
Tenera is a very comforting and smooth perfume, it envelops you upon spray like a cashmere shawl and transfers you to a state of tranquility and warmth. The spicy opening is awakening with the warm resins and woods followed by tempting patchouli, warm rum, gourmand heliotrope and precious vanilla all wrapped up in leather and amber perfectly intertwined and evoking a feeling of comfort and happiness. It’s an ethereal inspiration, perfectly balanced, strong yet soft, with great longevity and projection and smells great on both men and women.
