Perfume of the week coincides with Chapter 6 of the MiN Scent Stories, BARREL, a warm leathery fragrance.
“A slight floral opening gives way to bold, beautiful notes.
Peaty, smoky, smooth & earthy, the scent of the selfless vessel, incubating the finest spirits throughout the years.”
The notes are:
Top: Absinthe, Coriander & Pink Peppercorn
Heart: Rum, Myrrh & Orange Blossom
Base: Oak Barrel, Leather, Vanilla, Patchouli & Vetyver
The weather has turned to full autumn mode, with rain, leaves falling on the ground, the days getting shorter and everyone is looking for a little warmth especially in the evenings.
Barrel truly encompasses the whole autumn feeling since its opening, smoky, earthy and peppery before it releases its main heavy leathery note entwined with intoxicating fine rum and a hint of flowers laid on a dry herbal combo of patchouli and vetyver. It brings to mind evenings spent in front of the fireplace, sitting in an old and worn leather chair, reading a book and sipping on a glass of fine aged rum.
This is what autumn is truly about, isn’t it?
