La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Sous le Vent or Eau de Parfum Intense is a new perfume released by Guerlain. Originally designed only for the North American market and although it belongs to the LPRN family, it has its own identity as the emphasis was given to the sweeter aspects of the perfume. The cherry note, liquorice and heavy rose have given their place to candy floss and blueberries, a subdued airier rose and a fluffier musk / sandalwood base.
The fragrance comes in a deep blue bottle of the distinctive La Petite Robe Noire design, with the drawing of a little black dress in Marilyn Monroe style.
Sugar sweet, innocent, sparkling blueberries combined with candy floss and heaps of sugar hit you as soon as you spray it. I can’t lie it makes me smile, it’s joyful and sparkly, the bergamot lightens up the candyfloss and the blueberries and gives you the impression of a sweet jam like scent that lingers and dances on your skin while you twirl carefree. The light rose makes its appearance after a while and although it’s a Bulgarian rose, heavy and head on originally, here it’s combined masterfully by Guerlain's in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser with airy jasmine and orange blossom and laid on a base of white musk, sandalwood, vanilla and patchouli that is so distinctive in all Guerlain fragrances in this case with extra doses of musk and sandalwood.
LPRN Eau de Parfum Intense is a fragrance full of energy with very good longevity and sillage. She is the naughty and playful sister of the family, the one that stays out all night wearing a Marilyn dress dancing and laughing, really enjoying herself without a care in the world!
So far I only managed to obtain a couple of samples but a full bottle will soon join my perfume family as well!
Inspired by the perfume's playful nature I experimented with a new app called Prisma and transformed a couple of pictures to works of art!
Enjoy!
